Q: Do I have to purchase insurance for my car? What type?

A: Yes, you must have insurance on your auto loan. We require that you provide full comprehensive and collision coverage on your vehicle at all times.


If you fail to insure your vehicle yourself, we may elect to force place insurance at your expense.

You may fax proof of insurance to our insurance department at 614.236.5590.

Q: I want to pay off my loan. How do I find out the payoff amount?

A: Please request a payoff by providing your name and account number which you can send via e-mail. Or, simply call us at 614.236.8541 option 2.

Q: I found a car that I want to buy at a dealer. Can you finance it?

A: Yes, we accept applications from over 100 auto dealers in Ohio. Apply On-Line Now or, ask the dealer to fax your credit request and purchase order to 614.236.5590.

Q: I am buying a car from a private individual. Can you finance it?

A: No, we do not currently offer Direct Loans. We encourage you to deal with one of our excellent dealer choices listed right here on our website. Or, Simply call 614.236.8541 option 2 or stop by our lobby to get started!

Q: Whats the difference between CFI (Columbus Finance Inc.) and CMI (Columbus Mortgage Inc)?

A: Same great people & service, just two different books of business. Indirect loans (loans closed at a dealership) fall under CFI and Direct loans (loans closed in our office) under CMI.
